I began making pictures at a very young age. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I moved to the US when I was 17 to study the language, made a portfolio in my free time to apply to art schools and was awarded a merit scholarship to study Graphic Design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. A year later I became fascinated with moving pictures and transferred to Columbia College Chicago to study Traditional Animation, where I earned my Film degree.

I interned in TV Animation while in school but my first job out of college was in casino gaming, creating Motion Graphics for slot machines, our office was located just across the street from Midway Games, home of the Mortal Kombat franchise, and where I finally, after practicing Digital Painting for 2 years, got my break in the Concept Art field.

Since then, I have dedicated my career to helping creators develop their intellectual properties and bring their vision to life. Having worn many hats across multiple disciplines, I use everything I learned to problem-solve challenges and draw from personal experiences and past travels to design the deep, detailed, unique worlds modern audiences demand.
